If you're in Minneapolis on June 21, take part in the 2007 Givens Children's Literature Symposium. This day-long event is titled: Remind All the Children: Using African American Historical Narrative in the Classroom.
Featured speakers will include: Dr. Josie Johnson, human rights activist and the first African American regent of the University of Minnesota and Dr. Darlyne Bailey, the Dean of the University of Minnesota's New College of Education and Human Development.
